  • Installation
"Wind to Light" is an artwork that visualizes the air movement within the Ropemaker building. Positioned in a street-facing air vitrine, the installation uses turbine flashes to represent airflow, with the speed of the flashes corresponding to the intensity of the wind, creating a dynamic and engaging display.

The Process

Concept

Building on an existing installation, I was tasked with redesigning a more elegant and sculptural version of the artwork. The new design was to be integrated with an air duct, visually representing the movement and speed of the air within the vitrine.

Drafting

The production drawings detailed the precise construction elements, including the stainless steel body, outriggers, layout, pattern, and all fixing methodologies.

Install

Two day install with two riggers hoisting up pre spaced runs that bolted into the top walkway and lower floor
